The Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island Referral & Emergency Hospital is recruiting an additional internship trained (preferred but not required) emergency clinician. As a referral & critical care facility, the foundation of our reputation and success has been based on a team focused approach to veterinary specialty medicine, combined with a high regard for our referral relationships within the community. Our hospital offers 24/7 emergency and critical care and provides specialty services consisting of Surgery, Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Critical Care, Dermatology, Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Avian & Exotics, Neurology, Cardiology and Physical Rehabilitation. The hospital is equipped with state of the art monitoring equipment including but not limited to; wireless telemetry and capnography. Additionally, we have a full complement of diagnostic modalities which includes; multiple In-house laboratories, digital radiography, ultrasound, CT, fluoroscopy, LINAC,  interventional radiology, MRI, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, minimally invasive surgery and arthroscopy.

We are seeking a candidate with positive energy, experience and eagerness to practice high quality medicine within a 3 day schedule and 37 hour work week. The ideal candidate will also possess the leadership qualities necessary to help educate our enthusiastic interns and our large group of well-educated and highly experienced Licensed Technicians and other paraprofessionals.
